Mark Sudbey is the Chief Executive Officer of Cyrq Energy, a leading provider of clean, reliable, and renewable geothermal power. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Cyrq Energy operates five geothermal power facilities across Nevada, California, and Utah, with additional projects under development throughout the western United States. Under Mark’s leadership, the company continues to advance sustainable power generation and drive a cleaner energy future.


With more than 30 years of experience in the power and energy sector, Mark is a mission-driven and forward-thinking executive known for his strategic growth leadership. He combines deep industry knowledge with a broad network of stakeholders, plant operators, and energy partners, focusing on operational excellence, long-term value creation, and the development of high-performing, purpose-driven teams. Before joining Cyrq Energy, Mark served as CEO of AlphaGen, a newly established energy platform overseeing affiliate operations including Eastern Generation and Generation Bridge. In May 2024, he transitioned to a senior advisor role and continues to serve on the AlphaGen Board of Directors.

Mark has been recognized for his contributions to the energy industry, appearing on the City & State Energy & Environment Power 100 list in 2021, 2022, and 2023 for his leadership in advancing New York’s energy transition and environmental progress.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and completed Executive Education in Applied Business Analytics at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Chip Schneider is the President and Chief Financial Officer of Cyrq Energy, a leading provider of clean, reliable, and renewable geothermal power based in Salt Lake City. In this role, he oversees all financial and administrative functions for the company, helping drive its continued growth in the expanding geothermal energy sector. Chip is a business leader with nearly four decades of experience in corporate financial management, including extensive involvement in business operations, strategy, planning, mergers and acquisitions, accounting, treasury, project finance, risk management, business systems, and human resources.


He has held senior management positions—including Treasurer, CFO, and President—at several public and private companies across a variety of industries such as engineering and construction, telecommunications, industrial services, closed-loop recycling, bio-carbon production, and both conventional and renewable power generation. His previous leadership roles include positions at KBR, RigNet, Taurus Industrial Revolution, and Cyrq Energy.

Chip holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business. A native of Baton Rouge and former long-term resident of Houston, he now enjoys skiing, hiking, and biking near his home in Park City, Utah.

Daniel Minguez is a geoscientist and organizational leader with a passion for advancing the energy sector. His industry experience spans oil, gas, and geothermal resource exploration and management. With more than a decade of experience at Chevron and Cyrq Energy, Daniel has worked on both international and domestic projects involving resource evaluation, acreage capture, exploration and development drilling, production management, and subsurface–surface integration.


In his current role, Daniel leads Cyrq’s Resource and Engineering teams, overseeing projects that maintain, improve, and expand the company’s geothermal resource delivery and electrical generation capabilities.

Daniel earned his Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Science from Lehigh University, with a concentration in Geological Sciences. His research covered rock and planetary physics with applications in plate tectonics, structural geology, and geologic time.

Bill Lajousky is a Professional Engineer with executive-level experience in the geothermal industry and a lifelong career in power generation. His expertise spans steam turbine power plants—including geothermal, fossil-fueled, and nuclear—as well as metallurgical mining, processing, and environmental controls.


Bill’s extensive background includes managing plant operations and maintenance teams, overseeing design and construction projects, and leading senior company operations. He has also directed geothermal subsurface teams focused on resource modeling, chemistry analysis, and drilling and testing operations.

With more than 30 years of professional experience in the geothermal industry, Bill has held leadership roles across the United States and internationally. His career highlights include serving as Senior Vice President for a developing geothermal company, General Manager and Chief of Operations for two of the largest geothermal facilities in the world (totaling approximately 900 MW in the Philippines and Indonesia), and Project Director for a 450 MW geothermal facility in California.

Bill’s technical experience covers all major geothermal power cycles, including liquid-dominated (single to four-flash systems), dry steam fields, binary power cycles, and advanced solids handling and hydrogen sulfide abatement systems. He also contributed to the world’s first commercial-level geothermal metallurgical mining processes involving ion exchange, solvent extraction, electrowinning, and smelting.

Before entering the geothermal industry, Bill served nine years in the U.S. Nuclear Navy as a Naval Officer in the Nuclear Submarine Force and later as a staff engineer at a 1,000 MW nuclear facility.
Bill graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and holds a Professional Engineer license.

Michelle Henrie has worked with or for Cyrq Energy since 2011, when her law firm was selected to help navigate the regulatory framework for New Mexico’s first geothermal power plant. Since then, she has held several key roles within the company, including Corporate Counsel and Vice President of Legal, before joining the senior leadership team in 2024.

Before joining Cyrq, Ms. Henrie provided legal expertise, strategic insight, and practical problem-solving for a range of clients—including energy innovators, developers, water providers, and national retailers. Today, she plays a vital leadership role in guiding Cyrq’s legal strategy, regulatory compliance, and risk management across its portfolio.


A dedicated civic leader, Ms. Henrie has served on numerous boards and policy committees. She holds a Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School, a Master of Arts in Religion from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Utah State University.

Scott Clarke is a seasoned People and Culture executive with more than 25 years of international experience spanning North America, Australia, Asia, and Africa. A dual U.S. and Australian citizen, he has built a distinguished career leading high-performing global HR functions and aligning people strategy with corporate objectives across the energy, mining, construction, and technology sectors.

In his role as Vice President of People and Technology at Cyrq Energy, Scott built the company’s corporate Human Resources function from the ground up—establishing its first formal compensation structure, talent assessment and succession planning processes, and leadership development programs. His pragmatic and strategic approach ensures that people strategy is fully integrated with business growth and operational excellence.

Prior to joining Cyrq Energy, Scott held senior leadership positions at major multinational companies including Rio Tinto, GE Oil & Gas, and OceanaGold. At Rio Tinto, he led a global HR transformation for capital projects valued in the billions, managed a 40-person international team, and developed workforce and organizational structures to support large-scale development. At GE Oil & Gas, Scott oversaw rapid workforce expansion, growing the team from 35 to over 400 employees within a year. At OceanaGold, he established the company’s global talent acquisition function and authored its HR Mergers & Acquisitions manual.

A relationship-driven and results-focused leader, Scott combines global perspective with deep operational insight. His early career as a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force and as a management consultant instilled the discipline and strategic acumen that define his leadership today. Scott remains passionate about building strong teams, empowering leaders, and driving business results through people.
Scott holds a Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Business from the University of South Australia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Flinders University.

Bryan Hoggan is a seasoned Safety, Health, and Environment (SH&E) executive with more than 25 years of experience leading transformation across high-risk, operationally complex industries. A Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Bryan has held senior leadership roles throughout North America and internationally, where he built high-performing teams, strengthened compliance systems, and embedded safety as a core organizational value.


Throughout his career, Bryan has driven measurable improvements in safety culture and performance—reducing injury rates by more than 66%, lowering workers’ compensation costs, and enhancing operational reliability through proactive risk management. He has developed and led global safety leadership programs, implemented scalable training systems, and helped foster values-based cultures across multiple countries and languages.

Known for his ability to inspire ownership and accountability at every level, Bryan combines regulatory expertise with practical field experience and strategic insight. He currently serves as Chair of the Utah Safety Council Board of Directors and continues to champion excellence in SH&E leadership and organizational resilience.
Bryan graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, with concentrations in Industrial Hygiene and Chemistry.
